Welcome to Groißenbrunn, the ideal starting point for exploring the beautiful Marchfeld region, where culture, nature and relaxation meet. The village lies on the edge of the Wagram, a striking ridge formed during the Ice Age by deposits of the primeval Danube. Our south-facing pitches are located between the King Ottokar Monument and the entrance to the Marienbründl. There is an inn directly in the village, and in the stork town of Marchegg, 5 km away, there is a good infrastructure such as railway, ATM, supermarkets, restaurants and much more. Here you will not only find peace and nature, but also excellent connections to the cultural and historical highlights of the Carnuntum-Marchfeld region. The imposing Marchfeld castles of Marchegg, Schloss Hof, Niederweiden, Eckartsau and Orth an der Donau are just a few kilometres away. Each of these castles tells its own story and offers fascinating insights into the past. Schloss Hof, just 2 kilometres away, is particularly impressive with its baroque architecture, extensive gardens, adorable animals and a variety of events for the whole family. From the Schloßhofer Platte you can enjoy a unique view over the Marchfeld and the Hainburg mountains. The Donau-Auen National Park, a paradise for hikers, cyclists and nature lovers, is right on the doorstep. The March floodplains with their impressive flora and fauna and the nearby estuary of the March into the Danube can be reached by bike via the Bridge of Freedom and offer unforgettable nature experiences. Groißenbrunn is also a hub for numerous cycle paths through the picturesque Marchfeld region and beyond. Tip: The new "Schlösser-Radln" programme connects the Marchfeld castles on a variety of routes.
